Experience

Throughout my time at VCU, I consistently applied what I was learning through hands-on digital marketing projects for others throughout VCU and Richmond. My coursework spanned Adobe Creative Suite, International Marketing, Marketing Integrated Communications, Digital Marketing, Tableau, GA4, and Product & Brand Management, which helped build a foundation that blends creativity with analytics. I even became the president of a marketing organization on campus called Collegiate DECA at VCU.

After graduating, I stepped into a Lead Digital Strategist role at a Norfolk-based ad agency, where I led the development and execution of marketing strategies, crafted client budgets and proposals, and contributed to website design initiatives.

I later deepened my interest in web and user experience at Christopher Newport University, where I worked as a Web Content Assistant in the Office of Communications and Public Relations. There, I managed support requests across departments—including faculty, athletics, and leadership—and developed the workflow for the university’s centralized events calendar.

Today, I partner with small businesses through freelance work, helping them build stronger digital presences through strategy, design, and data-driven marketing.

About me

Growing up, I always wanted to be the first to discover something new, whether it be music, fashion, television, or literally anything. I didn’t just consume culture, I studied it. Over time, I developed an instinct for matching the right content to the right person, anticipating what people would connect with before they even knew it themselves. This is where I feel that my spark in Marketing began.

At the same time, I’ve always been driven by strategy. Whether through sports, video games, or puzzles, I naturally look for the most efficient path forward and how to outmaneuver the competition.

I realized early on that this combination of cultural awareness and strategic thinking is what makes great marketing. Since then, I’ve earned my Bachelor of Science in Marketing: Product & Brand Management from VCU, worked at an ad agency as the lead digital strategist, and as a web content assistant at CNU.

Today, as a Freelance Digital Marketer, I apply that same mindset to help brands connect with audiences in ways that are both intentional and impactful.
